Suicide Prevention Conference 2019

Behavioral Health Services

The Suicide Prevention Program and community partners held the County’s first-ever Suicide Prevention Conference on May 31, 2019, co-sponsored by the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) and marking the end of May's Mental Health Awareness Month. The conference was an opportunity to learn about current research and directions in suicide prevention and to inform local program and planning efforts. Nearly 30 presenters and approximately 150 attendees participated.

At the conference, the County also awarded its first-ever Suicide Prevention Advocate Award to Morgan Hill Unified School District, for its exemplary efforts in the areas of suicide prevention and mental health promotion. Thank you to all attendees, volunteers, presenters, and tabling organizations who supported the conference!
